Former Amarillo bank teller faces two years of probation for theft, embezzlement

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – A woman accused of embezzlement while working at a bank in 2025 entered a plea agreement in Amarillo Federal Court, according to documents filed in March.

According to court documents, Kelsi Marie Karr entered a guilty plea to one count of “Theft, Embezzlement, or Misapplication by Bank Officer or Employee” in March, the same month she was originally charged.

Court documents said Karr worked as a teller for Western Bank in Amarillo between May and July 2025. During that time, Karr admitted to taking less than $1,000 and avoiding detection by “force balancing” her teller drawer…
