These 2 Missouri Intersections Are the State’s Most Dangerous

I learned to drive as I was growing up in Missouri and have been a traveler across nearly every part of the state in my lifetime. I’ve learned the hard way that there are some intersections that are more problematic than others. I’ve come across new data that reveals the two worst locations in Missouri when it comes to the number and severity of accidents.

I haven’t seen new data on Missouri intersection accidents in nearly a decade. That’s why I decided to query the databases to find out the trouble spots in the state that have recorded the most accidents in recent years. I did a search of the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Maps and found two intersections with the most instances over the years.

Dorsett Road & I-270 — Maryland Heights, Missouri

  • 149 crashes
  • 48 injuries
  • 0 fatalities

Oak Street & Truman Road – Kansas City, Missouri

This intersection near a very active events place in Kansas City had 28 crashes and 29 injuries in one year according to Wendt Law Firm. Dorsett Road and I-270 in Maryland Heights has been ranked Missouri’s most dangerous intersection based on crash volume and injury severity in a statewide study while the intersection in Kansas City has seen one of the largest increases in recent years…
