Friends Mourn Kearny Woman, 20, Killed In Route 280 Weekend Crash

The 20-year-old woman killed when a car veered off Route 280 and slammed into trees is being remembered as a cherished daughter, sister, and friend whose kindness touched those around her.

Adamaris Mishell Tipan Gonzalez was riding in the front passenger seat of a Honda traveling west when the crash happened near milepost 15.2 in Harrison around 2:35 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, New Jersey State Police Trooper II Christopher Postorino said.

Dandy J. Quituizaca-Angama, 24, of Newark, was driving when he lost control of the Honda, ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a traffic sign support, and then several trees, according to a preliminary investigation. Gonzalez was killed, while Quituizaca-Angama was seriously injured and taken to an area hospital, Postorino said…
