ROCKFORD — City Council has approved granting local landmark status to A & E Tool and Gage, a shuttered former machine shop where die-cast toy cars were once made.
Aldermen voted 11-1 on Monday to approve the landmark designation. The vote came without any debate. The lone no vote was from Alderman Jonathan Logemann.
It will be the 29th building placed on the city’s local landmark list…
