Flooding, a bear sighting impacts 1st day of school for some Denver-area students

AURORA, Colo. (KDVR) — New pictures show flood damage at two schools in the Cherry Creek School District from storms over the weekend.

Highline Community Elementary School and Overland High School were both closed Monday, on the first day of school. Both schools are scheduled to open on Tuesday.

At Highline, crews worked to replace ceiling tiles and dry out the building.
