City Council approves Magnolia Avenue investments

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Knoxville City Council approved several major public and private investments at Tuesday’s city council meeting, aimed at transforming the Magnolia Avenue corridor.

This approval will allow Mayor Indya Kincannon to proceed with plans for the City’s $3.1 million Phase 3 Magnolia Avenue Streetscapes Plan, which is already fully funded.

Adams Contracting will install new sidewalks, curbs, bike lanes, lighting, landscaping and transit stops on Magnolia Avenue between North Bertrand and North Kyle streets, according to a press release…
