PARADISE TOWNSHIP, PA — A memorial has been set up at the site of a deadly crash in Lancaster County after a scooter rider was killed last week. Pennsylvania State Police say 59-year-old Sandra Weinreich of Baltimore died in the collision in Paradise Township.
The crash happened Thursday on Summit Hill Road. Weinreich was pronounced dead at the scene.
How it happened
Investigators say Weinreich lost control of her scooter while making a right turn onto Summit Hill Road. She then went into the roadway.
A tractor-trailer that could not stop in time struck her, according to state police. The coroner said she was on a group tour when the crash occurred.
