Monroe County approves tax breaks for new Webster apartments, but it could cost taxpayers $2 million

WEBSTER, N.Y. — Monroe County approved tax breaks for a new apartment complex currently under construction in Webster.

The County of Monroe Industrial Development Agency, known as COMIDA, voted unanimously in favor of a request from Gerber Homes for tax breaks on its Shoecraft Road apartment complex. The developer says it needs these breaks to keep the development affordable for middle-market incomes.
