OLATHE, Kan. – On Tuesday, the Starfish Project got the greenlight to operate out of a building off West 135th Street and South Brougham Drive near the Briarwood community in Olathe, Kansas.
The permit was approved with a 6-1 vote by city council, but it doesn’t necessarily mean this will be Starfish Projects’ permanent home.
“We got enough parking for everybody without having to do anything on the street. We can spread out our operations within the building,” said Joni Moreland, Starfish Project co-founder and president. “We just want to really be a good neighbor and come in and help be a part of the community.”…
