KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Kansas City Royals executives say $5 million from the team’s new stadium agreement will go to the city’s Housing Gateway Program.
The contribution is the largest investment into the program since the city approved it in February, according to city leaders.
Josh Henges, chief impact officer of Homeless Solutions for Kansas City, and his team have worked to raise money to fund the program. They have already raised $6 million, and Henges said the Royals’ contribution would get them past their goal…
