ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT)- A Loudonville man was sentenced to prison after chasing his estranged family from their home with a machete, according to the Albany County District Attorney’s Office.
Thomas Sorensen, 46, was sentenced to 15 years in state prison and five years of post-release supervision. Judge Richard Rivera handed down the sentence Tuesday, August 19 for the June 2024 attack.
The DA’s office says Sorensen was convicted after a four-day trial in February of first-degree burglary, first-degree criminal contempt, third-degree criminal mischief, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree burglary…
