CDTA to implement service changes across Capital Region

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Capital District Transportation Authority will implement service changes to several of its routes on Sunday. The adjustments reportedly come as part of routine and seasonal updates as well as ongoing service rebalancing efforts.

According to the CDTA, the new route schedules will help to address budget shortfalls while minimizing impact on riders. Take a look below for a full list of service changes:

Service updates

Albany

  • Route #13 — Trips will run every 60 minutes during the mid-day hours on weekdays
  • Route #114 — Trips will run every 30 minutes throughout the day
  • Route #117 — Trips will run every 45 minutes on weekdays
  • Route #190 — Route will be restored with 4 northbound trips and 4 southbound trips per day
  • Route #125 — Trips will run every 60 minutes during the mid-day hours on weekdays
  • Route #910 — Trips will run every 40 minutes in the morning and service will begin at 5:30 am on weekdays
  • Route #922 — Trips will run every 30 minutes at night on weekdays. Service will end at 12:30 am on weekdays
  • Route #923 — Trips will run every 30 minutes at night on weekdays. Service will end at 12:30 am on weekdays

Schenectady

  • Route #370 — Trips will run every 40 minutes on weekdays and every 60 minutes on Sundays
  • Route #605 — Westbound service to Amsterdam or Via Port Mall, customers must use the State Street & Church Street bus stop. Eastbound service to Ellis Hospital or St. James Plaza, Customers must use the Gateway Plaza Mobility Hub stop on State Street

Glens Falls

  • Route #402 — Route extended to cover Glens Falls Hospital and Broad Street Hannaford on weekdays. Saturday service eliminated
  • Route #404 — Service will end at 9 pm on weekdays
  • Route #405 — Saturday service eliminated
  • Route #407 — Service eliminated except trips at 6:40am/6:55am and 3:46pm/4:06pm on weekdays. Customers can take #402 to access Glens Falls Hospital and Hannaford
  • Route #411 — Trip frequency will increase to every 40 minutes on weekdays and new service will be added from 9:00a-5:00p on Sundays
  • Route #412 — Trip frequency will increase to every 40 minutes on weekdays
  • Route #713 (Saratoga / Glens Falls) — Last northbound trip shifted later to depart from Saratoga Springs at 5:40pm on weekdays.

College and university routes

All routes return to regular service levels:

  • Route #12 (Washington Avenue)
  • Route #114 (Madison Ave. – Washington Ave.)
  • Route #910 (Purple Line BRT)
  • Route #224 (Albany – Troy Via I-90)
  • Route #452 (Skidmore College/Downtown Saratoga)
  • Route #286 (Troy/Wynantskill)

Seasonal services

  • Route #96 — Grafton State Park service to end after Monday, September 7.
  • Route #875 — Saratoga Trolley service to end after Monday, September 7.
  • Route #872 — Albany County Nature Bus to end after Saturday, October 10.
  • Route #876 (Glens Falls – Lake George Trolley) — Trolley to operate on weekends only after Labor Day. Service ends for the season after Monday, October 12.
  • Route #877 (Lake George – Bolton Trolley) — Trolley to operate on weekends only after Labor Day. Service ends for the season after Monday, October 12.
