AIKEN — Members of the Aiken Downtown Development Association were given a first glimpse Aug. 18 at how the planned road closures and detours required by Oliver Hospitality’s downtown redevelopment and construction project may affect the daily operations of their restaurants, shops and arts organizations.
“We understand that this is going to be some type of disruption for you guys, and we 100% understand that,” Brannon Cundey, senior project manager for RW Allen Construction, told the group of about three dozen in the Aiken City Council Chambers.
