COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Two men were arrested in connection to a drive-by shooting that took place at a funeral Monday in northeast Columbus.
Trequan Hite, 19, and Shimetrious Coates-Jones, 18, were each arrested and charged in connection to the shooting. Hite was charged with fleeing and eluding while Coates-Jones was charged with four counts of felonious assault, discharging a firearm on/near prohibited premises, improperly handing firearms in a motor vehicle, and unlawful possession of dangerous ordinance.

About 12:30 p.m. Monday, officers were called to the 1800 block of Woodland Avenue in front of Antioch Jordan Baptist Church on reports of a drive-by shooting. Two victims were found with gunshot wounds and taken to a hospital in stable condition. According to court records, the shots were fired from a stolen BMW.
