LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – There is a sign on the steeple at St. Boniface Catholic Church, telling visitors to join them for weekly Mass. It was put up about a year ago as a simple way to catch a passerby’s eye, and it is not easy to miss.
But it points to a much bigger problem that this church is facing, which threatens to close its doors for good.
