Garland Police say a 5-year-old girl died Tuesday after being left in a car.
Police said they were called to a home on Redbird Drive at about 8:20 p.m. and arrived to find family members attempting lifesaving measures on a young girl when they arrived. The child was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
While investigating what took place in the moments leading up to the child’s death, police said they learned an adult family member had returned home from school with the girl and her sibling; the 5-year-old was left inside the car. It’s unclear how old the sibling is…
