Arrest made in Aurora hit-and-run that killed cyclist

DENVER (KDVR) — An arrest has been made in a hit-and-run crash that killed a cyclist in Aurora last month.

53-year-old Jamie Gardner of Aurora turned himself in on Tuesday to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office on probable cause of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, the Aurora Police Department said. Gardner was released on a $50,000 bond.

The cyclist, 26-year-old Arthur Williams, was found dead by people passing by the intersection of South Powhaton Road and East Jewell Avenue around 9:30 a.m. on July 27.
