ALBANY — Dorcey Applyrs got several things right in an essay published by this newspaper a month ago.
The Albany mayor said then, for example, that it’s dangerous to spend too much time on thin ice. Can’t argue with that, except to add that any time on thin ice is probably a bad idea.
Applyrs also wrote that the city’s fiscal mess — well, she didn’t use that word, but I will — won’t be solved overnight, that the work is far from finished and that difficult decisions loom. No argument from me on those points either…
