A strong cold front moving through the Lehigh Valley region Thursday will trigger widespread showers and thunderstorms with the potential for flash flooding, damaging wind gusts and isolated tornadoes.
The most significant threats will develop during the afternoon and evening as the system intensifies across southeastern Pennsylvania and central New Jersey, according to the National Weather Service.
A Flood Watch is in effect for southeastern Pennsylvania and most of New Jersey from noon through late Thursday night, extending as close to the Lehigh Valley as Upper Bucks and Hunterdon counties.
