Judge rules on motion to dismiss Laurel Meadows flood lawsuit

SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) – A judge has ruled on a motion to dismiss the lawsuit between the Laurel Meadows neighborhood and Sarasota County government. The lawsuit may not be dismissed, but the legal battle is not over.

Damages from the flooding are estimated to reach at least $15 million, and as much as $25 million, once appraisals are completed on all the affected houses.
