68-year-old man goes missing after walking behind his home in North Carolina

CARY, N.C. (WNCN) — A Cary man who went missing earlier this week is considered endangered, officials said.

Bernard Brown, 68, was last seen on Sunday, Aug. 16, walking behind his home in the 300 block of View Drive near Ascent Lane around 5 p.m. He was reported missing two days later, Tuesday, Aug. 18, according to officials.

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued an endangered alert for Brown the same day he was reported missing.

According to Town of Cary officials, Brown is believed to be suffering from a cognitive impairment. Brown has missed several social appointments after he was reported missing.

Officials described Brown as standing about six feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds, with short brown and gray hair and brown eyes. He may be wearing a black shirt and blue jeans…
