Tami Sawyer’s attorney says she has “good support group” amid case

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Attorneys for suspended Shelby County general session court clerk Tami Sawyer were back in court Wednesday as her embezzlement case continues.

Sawyer is charged with embezzling $45,000 in taxpayer money for personal use, including sporting events and hotel stays. She has pleaded not guilty.
