Rhode Island could save $51M — by failing to fix SNAP

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Rhode Island is spending millions of dollars to fix mistakes in its food-stamp program. And succeeding in the effort could put taxpayers on the hook for a $51 million penalty beginning in 2027.
