Tampa opens the door for ‘in-law suites’ across neighborhoods

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The City of Tampa is making it easier for residents to build accessory dwelling units on their property for affordable housing.

Around 8,300 affordable housing units have been built or approved since the city set a 10,000-unit goal in 2019.
