ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A former New Mexico union treasurer faces up to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to embezzling union funds.
From 2014 to February of 2024, Max Jaramillo was entrusted with safeguarding funds for the National Postal Mail Handlers Union, Local 331, in Albuquerque and accurately reporting the union’s financial activities.
