More land, more homes OK’d for South Meridian development. What’s coming

A new development proposal is set to add more land — and more homes — to an already approved subdivision in South Meridian near the Kuna border.

On Tuesday, developers with Boise’s Conger Group secured the Meridian City Council’s blessing to annex roughly 20 acres of land southeast of Lake Hazel and Locust Grove roads and build 167 houses there. Conger had previously earned the city’s approval for a 70-acre development boasting more than 300 homes just south of the new proposal, despite concerns about impacts to nearby Kuna schools at the time.

The addition brings the subdivision’s total to 506 homes spanning nearly 90 acres south of Meridian’s Discovery Park…
