PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Fifty cats rescued from an animal abuse case in Southern Oregon are now available for adoption.
According to the Oregon Health Authority, the cats were seized in June after suffering suspected neglect at a Central Point home.
Officials said the animals were living in “hazardous” conditions without adequate care. The Oregon Humane Society stepped in to take the cats out of the home, which, according to court documents, was covered in “multiple inches of feces” and smelled strongly of “urine, feces, and rotting corpses.”…
