PHOTO EYE: DRY DAYS
Part of the Spokane River has run dry. Again. On Aug. 11, Spokane Riverkeeper posted that the seemingly rare occurrence seen over a few days last August was already happening again, two weeks sooner than last year.
“As our region faces extreme heat, increasingly dry conditions, and devastating wildfires, the river is showing us another consequence of a hotter, drier climate,” the nonprofit posted on social media.
A few days later, Spokane Riverkeeper noted this isn’t just an issue of the Post Falls Dam “being closed.”…
