CLEVELAND (WJW) — For years, Clevelanders have had to drive to the suburbs to get their fix of Chick-fil-A sandwiches, waffle fries and extra thick milkshakes.

Next week, the mega-popular chicken chain is opening up a location in Cleveland proper for the first time.

The new spot is opening its doors Thursday, Aug. 27 in University Circle.

“Opening the first locally owned and operated Chick-fil-A restaurant within the Cleveland city limits is an incredible honor,” owner-operator Steven Turner said in a statement…
