PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — Drivers traveling through Pinellas County should prepare for a wide slate of daytime, nighttime, and continuous lane closures next week as roadwork continues on major state corridors and bridges, according to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 7 traffic advisory for August 23–29, 2026.
Nighttime work will impact several heavily traveled routes across the county. On the Sunshine Skyway Bridge along Interstate 275, crews have scheduled night lane closures on Monday, August 24, and Tuesday, August 25, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Along U.S. 19, night lane closures will run from Sunday, August 23, through Thursday, August 27, between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. on two separate stretches: from State Road 580 (Main Street) to State Road 586 (Curlew Road), and from Drew Street to SR 580.
