Irvine Police launch #WantedWednesday hunt for luxury Ferrari thief

The Irvine Police Department has issued a public appeal for information to identify a suspect linked to the high-profile theft of a 2020 Ferrari Portofino.

As part of their weekly #WantedWednesday initiative, detectives released an enhanced digital photo of the individual believed to be responsible for the luxury vehicle heist. Law enforcement is urging members of the Southern California community to review the image closely and come forward with any credible tips that could lead to an arrest.

The vehicle, a black 2020 Ferrari Portofino, disappeared under suspicious circumstances while contracted under a commercial vehicle transport agreement. A subcontracted driver took possession of the exotic car from an Irvine storage facility, after which all communication with the vehicle owner ceased.

Given the complexity of the case, specialized regional auto theft investigators have been working in tandem with local authorities to trace the vehicle’s movements, which were tracked to the area of Inglewood and South Los Angeles…
