Louisville man arrested after fleeing police in stolen vehicle, causing serious injury accident

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man was arrested in Louisville, Kentucky, on Wednesday after police said in June, he fled from officers and caused an injury crash while driving a stolen vehicle.

Bristol Baird, 38, of Louisville, is facing the following charges:

  • Three counts of criminal mischief (second degree)
  • Wanton endangerment (first degree)
  • Leaving scene of an accident/failure to render aid or assistance
  • Fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle (first degree)
  • Theft of motor vehicle registration plate/renewal decal/tag
  • Obscuring the identity of a machine worth $10,000 or more
  • Receiving stolen property worth $10,000 or more
  • Buying/possessing drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of a controlled substance – Methamphetamine (first degree)

On June 29, Louisville Metro Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 2200 block of Dundee Road in the Belknap neighborhood, according to his arrest citation.
