MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Members of a Montgomery church have held a community outreach event to provide groceries and services for free to those who need them.
The Church of God in Christ MoMENtum Conference held the event today on Mobile Highway. It’s a “Men Perfecting Men” initiative, which is is an international effort that is part of the Church of God in Christ denomination and New Life Church of God in Christ, a Montgomery congregation.
Families could receive free groceries, hot food, health screenings, bicycles, haircuts and much more, including prayer. Several hundreds people showed up for the event, receiving those gifts that they called Christmas in August…
