SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office said a deputy rescued an injured owl off the side of the road.
Mobile police vehicle damaged in pursuit of stolen car, officials say
According to a SRC Facebook post, Deputy D. Smith noticed something unusual on the side of the road while driving. The post said that when he got closer, he noticed an injured owl.
Officials said that the owl had an injured leg.
They said Smith took the injured owl to Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge, located at 3051 Cloptons Circle in Navarre…
