The final phase of a more-than-two-year construction project at Sacramento Regional Transit’s Watt/I-80 station is set to begin Tuesday, changing bus station access for a few months.
The upper-level southbound bus stop — located on the west side of the station on the border of North Highlands and Arden Arcade — is scheduled to close for construction until about October, Regional Transit spokesperson Jessica Gonzalez said. The stairs and elevator to light rail platforms on that side also will be shut down.
Southbound bus riders who typically use the transit center will instead have to board buses at a stop on Watt Avenue near Longview Drive, in front of the Sacramento Inn & Suites. Routes 1, 26, 84 and 93 will be affected by the change…
