Howard-Suamico School District gets federal money to test program for lunches with Wisconsin milk

HOWARD-SUAMICO, Wis. (WBAY) – Kids in the Howard-Suamico School District could soon get part of their lunch from state providers.

The district just landed up to $200,000 a year in federal money to test a new “Reimagining School Milk” plan in the Green Bay area.

Instead of getting little milk cartons shipped in from Iowa, eight schools would switch to big bulk containers of white milk made by a Wisconsin dairy…
