SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Retired Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office K-9 Samos, who was remembered for his work helping seize narcotics and apprehend dangerous suspects, has died after a career and life dedicated to serving his community.
Samos began his service with the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office in 2018 and retired May 15, 2024, because of medical concerns. Although his law enforcement career was cut short, his impact on the community and with his partners was lasting.
During Samos’s career, he participated in multiple narcotics seizures and assisted in the apprehension of numerous dangerous suspects.
After retiring, Samos lived out his remaining days with his former handler, Louisiana State Trooper Brock Bonds. To Bonds, the Belgian Malinois was more than a working partner. He was family…
