DENVER (KDVR) – An organized theft ring in the metro area is using what’s called a booster skirt to smuggle products out of stores at a high rate, as law enforcement seeks help to identify the suspects.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has called them the “Booster Skirt Bandits” based on their intentionally worn attire to conceal high-value stolen items, most recently from three Walgreens stores around Highlands Ranch.
When they were caught on surveillance camera heading into one of the stores late last month, they may have looked like they were making a fashion statement with their long skirts.
