Lane County is seeking applicants to fill at least one open seat on the county’s Property Value Appeals Board, which hears taxpayer appeals about property values.
Applications are being accepted through Friday, Sept. 25. The Lane County Property Value Appeals Board is responsible for holding hearings where taxpayers present evidence that a property’s value is incorrect, then issuing decisions about the value.
The board is authorized by law to hear appeals of property values, including real market, maximum assessed, specially assessed or assessed values. It does not hear appeals about the amount of property tax paid…
