Much of the Tennessee Valley, including the metro Huntsville area, was under a Flash Flood Warning issued late Thursday night and extending well into Friday morning.
The National Weather Service warned of the potential for dangerous, sudden flooding as upwards of 3 inches of rain fell in an hour in some areas — part of a strong storm system that also brought frequent, intense lightning.
The warning remains in effect until 1:30 a.m. Friday for southeastern Limestone, Madison, northern Morgan and northwestern Jackson counties.…
