SAUSALITO, CA — A Ukiah resident arrested on August 13th remains jailed on custody-hold with outstanding warrants from multiple jurisdictions. John R. Edwards, 34, attracted the attention of a Marin County Sheriff’s Office deputy who saw a Cadillac speeding through Sausalito at 2 a.m.
The deputy attempted a traffic stop near the Spencer Avenue freeway exit, which escalated to a more dangerous situation. Edwards fled twice and a shelter-in-place advisory was issued at 7:07 a.m., while deputies and Sausalito police searched for him.
“The driver made a U-turn and began traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of Highway 101,” according to a statement released by the sheriff’s office. “Due to the danger posed by the wrong-way driver, the deputy did not pursue.”…
