WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Friday is a First Alert Weather Day for the heat index to take yet another crack at 105. So far this week at Wilmington, the heat index hit 113 Monday, 111 Tuesday, and 107 both Wednesday and Thursday.
Friday is also a First Alert Weather Day for prospects for scattered and possibly numerous storms. The highest storm chances will kick in after noon, and some cells could be quite drenching and electrical.
