Police: Man with long rap sheet assaults grocery employee walking to work in SE Portland

A man is being held without bail on several charges and a parole violation after he allegedly assaulted a grocery store employee who was walking to work in Southeast Portland earlier this week, police reported.

According to court documents, the alleged assault happened Tuesday, Aug. 18 near the intersection of Southeast 21st Avenue and Tibbets Street.
