GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Along Grand Rapids’ busy Bridge Street, a new apartment community has opened with a roof deck, a golf simulator and a cafe on the ground floor.
Verdant is celebrating its grand opening Friday. The five-story, 148-unit apartment building is located on the former Duthler’s Family Foods site at 648 Bridge St. NW near Gold Avenue NW.
Ryan Talbot, owner of Talbot Development, acquired the property in 2024 and began construction not long after. Verdant’s first residents moved in last month.
“It’s located on Bridge Street, which is very busy — lots of nightlife, lots of exciting things going on,” Talbot told News 8. “And the idea here is to be the place you want to come home to after you’ve been out on Bridge Street. So we created Verdant to be a calm, inviting, grounding, centering space. We’re filling it with plants. We’ve got lots of features in the building to make it extra quiet and really a place that you can relax.”…
