SAN ANTONIO – A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper arrested a 47-year-old man after a vehicle pursuit and brief foot chase in San Antonio late Friday morning.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said that on Aug. 21, 2026, at about 11:34 a.m., a trooper attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a Ford pickup truck near Vance Jackson Road and Fredericksburg Road. DPS said the driver failed to stop and a pursuit began.
DPS said the pursuit ended near Angeles Drive and Sacramento Drive when the trooper used his patrol vehicle to disable the fleeing truck and prevent the driver from continuing to evade. DPS said the driver then ran from the vehicle but was quickly apprehended and taken into custody…
