Former Indiana Task Force 1 members meet to reflect on 9/11 deployment
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Eleven former members of Indiana Task Force 1 met Friday in Indianapolis to reflect on their deployment to Ground Zero following the September 11 terrorist attacks.
The men, who served as an elite search-and-rescue team with the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, shared memories of working alongside New York City firefighters and interacting with residents during recovery efforts.
