Project Lifesaver helps locate missing Council Bluffs man

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (WOWT) -A 66-year-old Council Bluffs man with dementia was found more than two miles from his home after his family used a tracking band provided through Project Lifesaver, a program multiple Council Bluffs organizations started one year ago.

Shaun Pokorny reported his father, Frank, missing the morning of Aug. 9 and called the Council Bluffs Fire Department for help.

“It was pretty scary trying to look for a loved one that, you know, that you can’t find and you don’t know where they could be and don’t know how long they’ve been gone,” Pokorny said…
