Afternoon temperatures will be comfortable in the mid-to-upper 70s across the metro area under continued warm southerly flow aloft.
Some instability over the Cascades may bring a stray thunderstorm to those areas this morning. The t-storm threat will continue across far eastern Oregon this afternoon before tapering off.
Latest models have backed off on any measurable rainfall in Portland this morning, marking the 30th day in a row with no measurable rainfall in Portland. The last significant downpour in Portland was back in mid-June, nearly two months ago. Before that, it was mid-April. That is quite the stretch of dry weather.
