Diocese Of Amarillo celebrate 100th Anniversary

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Today at Cal Farley Coliseum at the Amarillo Civic Center, the Catholic Diocese of Amarillo celebrated 100 years of history.

The Mass celebrated this milestone with music from the diocesan choir, two liturgical processions, a performance by diocesan Matachines, and a liturgical dance by parishioners from Our Lady of Vietnam Church.

During the Mass, the community heard from Bishop Emeritus Patrick J. Zurek and the recently appointed Apostolic Nuncio to the United States, Archbishop Gabriele Giordano Caccia.
