NEW SCOTLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) — One person is dead and two others are injured following a head-on crash in the town of New Scotland on Saturday, according to the Albany County Sheriff’s Office. The incident reportedly occurred in the area of State Route 32 and Tarrytown Road.

Deputies responded to the scene just after 6:05 p.m. Upon arrival, authorities said they found two vehicles with substantial damage.
A preliminary investigation reportedly found that an Acura was traveling southbound on State Route 32 when it collided head-on with a northbound Subaru.
The driver of the Subaru, identified as 74-year-old Mark Rose of Westerlo, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the sheriff’s office. The passenger, 63-year-old Linda Rose, was reportedly taken to Albany Medical Center in critical condition.
As for the other vehicle, the driver of the Acura was not injured, according to deputies. The passenger was reportedly taken to Albany Medical Center with minor injuries…
